Corporate Sorority Sister LLC ("CSS," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding your personal information.

 

This Privacy Policy works alongside the CSS Terms of Service at www.CorporateSororitySister.com/terms and the CSS Cookie Policy at www.CorporateSororitySister.com/cookie-policy.

 

 

2.1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information You Provide

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

 

• Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
• Account credentials (username, password)
• Payment information processed through our payment processor (we do not store full credit card numbers)
• Profile information you submit (school, sorority affiliation, career interests, year in school)
• Content you submit (resume, career documents, testimonials, community posts)
• Communications with us (emails, support requests, comments)

Career and Compensation Information

CSS tools and services are designed for you to describe your own working life. Depending on what you use and what you choose to enter, this may include:

 

• Employment and volunteer history, employers, job titles, dates, and responsibilities
• Sorority and campus leadership roles, committees, and chapter positions
• Performance details and results you describe, including budgets, headcounts, percentages, and other metrics
• Education, coursework, honors, and credentials
• Career goals, target roles, target employers, and job search status
• Compensation information, including current or prior pay, offer amounts, target salary, benefits, equity, and negotiation details, where you use a CSS offering that addresses compensation

You decide what to enter. CSS does not require any specific detail, and you may use general descriptions instead of exact figures. Do not enter Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, medical records, or login credentials for other services.

Workshop Booking Information

When you book a CSS workshop engagement on behalf of an organization, we collect:

 

• The name of the organization, chapter, council, or institution
• The name, title, email address, and phone number of the person making the booking
• The name, email address, and phone number of the designated day-of contact person
• Event details including date, time, format, venue name and address, and platform information for virtual events
• Audience information provided during planning, including expected and confirmed attendance counts, year in school, majors, and career interests
• Organizational priorities or customization requests shared during the pre-event planning call
• Billing and travel information necessary to complete the engagement

 

Business contact information for organizational representatives is collected and used for the purpose of coordinating and delivering the engagement.

Workshop Attendee Information

When you attend a CSS workshop and request resources through a CSS form, including a form accessed by QR code or link at the event, we collect your email address and any other information you choose to submit through that form. Submitting the form adds you to the Career Haul newsletter list, and you may unsubscribe at any time.

Images, Audio, and Video

We collect photographs, audio recordings, and video recordings of CSS workshops and events, which may include images of attendees and Client representatives. See Section 2.6 for details on how this content is used and how you can opt out.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Site, we automatically collect:

 

• IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
• Pages visited, time spent, click patterns
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our Cookie Policy)
• Referring website or source

 

2.2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to:

 

• Deliver the products and services you purchase
• Process payments and manage memberships
• Coordinate, prepare for, and deliver workshop engagements
• Communicate with you (transactional emails, support, newsletters you have subscribed to, and workshop logistics)
• Provide functionality within the CSS Career Studio Suite and any other AI tool we offer
• Create marketing and educational content, including content that features workshop footage and photography, as described in Section 2.6
• Improve our products, content, and Site
• Personalize your experience and provide relevant content
• Send marketing communications (with your consent and the right to unsubscribe)
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security, and technical issues
• Comply with legal obligations

2.3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to operate our business. These providers have access to information only as needed to perform their services and are contractually bound to protect it. Current providers include:

 

• Squarespace (website hosting)
• Stripe (payment processing)
• Flodesk (email marketing and checkout)
• ManyChat (Instagram automation and lead capture)
• Heartbeat (membership community platform)
• Zoom (video conferencing)
• Google Workspace (forms, analytics, drive, email)
• Anthropic (primary AI provider powering tools within the CSS Career Studio Suite)
• OpenAI (additional AI processing for certain tools and internal work)
• Canva (workbook delivery and design)

CSS may add, change, or replace service providers at any time and will update this list accordingly.

Public Marketing Content

Photographs, video clips, and testimonials from workshops and other CSS engagements may be published on the CSS website, CSS social media accounts, in CSS courses, and in CSS promotional materials, as described in Section 2.6.

Legal Compliance

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.

Business Transfers

If CSS is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

 

2.4. AI PROCESSING

This section explains what happens to information you put into a CSS AI tool, and what happens to materials you send us for 1:1 work. These are two different flows and we describe them separately.

Who Processes Your Information

CSS AI tools are built on third-party AI platforms. Our current primary AI provider is Anthropic. CSS also uses OpenAI for certain tools and internal work. CSS may add, change, or replace AI providers at any time, and will update this page to reflect the providers then in use.

 

When you use a CSS AI tool, the information you enter is transmitted to and processed by the applicable AI provider. Your information is subject to that provider's data practices in addition to ours.

Self-Serve CSS AI Tools

When you use a self-serve tool within the CSS Career Studio Suite:

 

• What you type is sent to our AI provider so the tool can generate a response
• CSS may retain a record of your session where the tool preserves conversation history so you can return to your work
• CSS does not sell your inputs, and does not authorize our AI providers to use your inputs to train their models where that setting is available to CSS
• CSS may review aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns to improve the tools

Materials You Send Us for 1:1 Work

If you purchase 1:1 coaching, a resume review, or any other done-for-you service:

 

• CSS retains the materials you send. We keep them for the duration of your engagement and afterward as described in Section 2.8, so we can deliver your service, maintain continuity across sessions, and meet legal and business record requirements.
• CSS may process your materials using third-party AI tools while preparing your review, feedback, or deliverables. Your materials are transmitted to and processed by that provider under its terms.
• CSS may use de-identified examples from your materials to create educational and marketing content. We remove direct identifiers such as your name, employer, and school, and generalize distinctive details.

We use the word "de-identified" rather than "anonymous" on purpose. Career materials can sometimes be traced back to a person through the details that remain, even after names are removed. We use reasonable judgment to alter or generalize those details, but we cannot guarantee that no reader could ever recognize an example.

Your Choices

• You can opt out of AI processing of your 1:1 materials. Tell us in writing at [email protected] before you submit them, and we will handle your materials manually.
• You can opt out of de-identified content use. Tell us at the time of purchase or before you send your materials, or withdraw permission later. We will stop using your example in new content within 30 days. Content already published cannot be recalled.
• You can request deletion of materials we hold, subject to the retention limits in Section 2.8.
• You may withdraw consent for AI processing generally at any time. Doing so may end your ability to use CSS AI tools.

What Not to Enter

Do not enter Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, medical records, or login credentials for other services into any CSS AI tool or send them as part of your career materials.

 

2.5. CHECKOUT AND PAYMENT DATA

When you buy something from CSS, your information moves through two providers and we do not hold your card details at any point.

 

• Flodesk hosts our checkout pages and our email platform. Flodesk receives your name, email address, the item purchased, the amount, any billing or shipping fields shown on that checkout page, and the timestamped record of your acceptance of our Terms of Service.
• Stripe processes the payment itself. Your full card or bank account number goes directly to Stripe. CSS never receives or stores your full payment card number. CSS sees only what Stripe reports back, such as the last four digits, card brand, transaction amount, and success or failure status.
• CSS retains order records, including what you bought, when, for how much, and your acceptance record, for as long as needed for support, dispute resolution, chargeback defense, and legal, tax, and accounting requirements.
• For workshop engagements, the same flow applies, and CSS additionally retains the organization and event details described in Section 2.1.

Both providers process this information under their own privacy policies and their agreements with CSS.

 

 

2.6. EVENT RECORDINGS AND PHOTOGRAPHY

What We Record

CSS records its workshops and events. This may include full audio and video recording of the session, photographs taken during the event, and images or voices of attendees, Client representatives, and other participants.

Why We Record

CSS uses this content for marketing, content creation, education, portfolio, and other business purposes. Content may be published on the CSS website, CSS social media accounts, in CSS courses and programs, and in CSS promotional materials.

Notice

The organization booking a CSS workshop agrees under the CSS Terms of Service to communicate the recording and photography terms to its attendees before the event. CSS also identifies recording at or before the start of the session where practicable.

How to Opt Out

Before the event begins, any attendee who does not wish to be recorded or photographed may notify CSS or the hosting organization in writing. Your notice should include enough identifying detail, such as your name, a physical description, your seating location, or other markers, for CSS to identify you in the footage.

 

CSS will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor written opt-out requests by editing, blurring, or excluding you from any content before it is published.

Limits of the Opt-Out

CSS cannot guarantee that every edit will be perfect or complete. CSS is not liable for inadvertent inclusion of an opted-out attendee in content, including edits that miss a partial image or background appearance, edits made in error, content shared before the opt-out request was received, or content already in circulation at the time of the request.

Requesting Removal After Publication

If you find yourself in published CSS content and want it removed, contact [email protected]. CSS will use commercially reasonable efforts to remove or edit the content within 30 days. CSS cannot remove content that has already been shared, reposted, downloaded, or cached by third parties.

Individual Names

Individual attendee names are not published in connection with photographs, footage, or testimonials without that individual's explicit permission.

 

2.7. COOKIES AND TRACKING

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and analyze usage. See our Cookie Policy at www.CorporateSororitySister.com/cookie-policy for full details. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

 

2.8. DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

 

Workshop engagement records, including booking details, payment records, and acceptance records, are retained for as long as necessary to document the agreement and to satisfy legal, tax, and accounting requirements.

 

Published marketing content, including photographs and video from past events, may be retained indefinitely, subject to the removal process in Section 2.6.

 

You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting [email protected], subject to legal retention requirements.

 

2.9. YOUR RIGHTS

All Users

You may:

 

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information (subject to legal exceptions)
• Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
• Withdraw consent for AI tool processing of your information
• Opt out of being recorded or photographed at a CSS event, and request removal from published content, as described in Section 2.6

California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including:

 

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share
• The right to request deletion of your personal information
• The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information (CSS does not sell personal information)
• The right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights

European Residents (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including:

 

• The right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data
• The right to restrict or object to processing
• The right to data portability
• The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

CSS's legal basis for processing your data is consent, contract performance, or legitimate business interests, depending on the context.

 

2.10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

 

Some of our services are directed to young adults, including collegians aged 18 to 22. You must be 18 or older to create an account, make a purchase, book a workshop engagement, or submit a CSS form.

 

2.11. DATA SECURITY

We use commercially reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect a security breach.

 

2.12. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

CSS is based in the United States. If you access our services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your country.

 

2.13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted at www.CorporateSororitySister.com/privacy-policy with a revised "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers, customers, and Clients with a scheduled engagement. Continued use of the Site or CSS services after changes constitutes acceptance.
